Meet "The Widowmaker", one of which is in each bathroom and allows us to have hot showers. The Widowmaker is a small, tankless water heater attached to a showerhead. Don´t you love the somewhat exposed wiring? To take a shower, you first turn on the water, turn on The Widowmaker, take a shower, turn off The Widowmaker, then turn off the water. Turning off The Widowmaker is always disconcerting, because there is a visible spark from the unit when the switch is turned off and you´re dripping wet from the shower you just took. But it works and allows us to remain clean and comfortable.
Nothing like standing naked, and soaking wet under a high-voltage device to make you appreciate being alive.
